SERVICES & PRAYER

There are a range of services at St Andrew's and St Peter's throughout the month, please see below for the regular pattern.

Services at St Andrew's Church, Avonmouth

St Andrew's has been developing its services to have a more modern informal feel with a mixture of contemporary songs and older hymns. Refreshments are served from 9.45am, then the service starts at 10.15am.  We also have refreshments afterwards. The usual pattern of services is:

1st Sunday     Family Service with communion (with children & young people's group)

2nd Sunday    Family Service (with children & young people's group)

3rd Sunday     Family Service with communion (with children & young people's group)

4th Sunday     Family Service (with children & young people's group)

5th Sunday     Joint Service with St Peter's (with children & young people's group). After the service we have lunch together. Our joint service alternates between the two parishes. Please see our online calendar for up to date details.  During half terms and some Sundays of the school holidays we have an all age family service on Sunday morning.  It's interactive, lively and engaging for young and old alike!

Services at St Peter's Church, Lawrence Weston

At St Peter's we love to worship God through hearing and learning together from the Bible, singing a mixture of traditional hymns and more modern songs, and gathering together around the Lord’s table for Holy Communion.

Our services usually follow the Church of England’s Common Worship liturgy for Holy Communion or Morning Prayer, and begin on Sundays at 10.15, lasting about an hour.

Once a month we have a more informal service.

After the service we enjoy chatting  together over tea or coffee and biscuits.

We do not have separate activities for children, but families are welcome at all our services. There is a carpeted area at the  back of the church where toys, books and activities are provided for children.

On 5th Sundays of the month, there is a joint service with St Andrew's (either in Avonmouth or Lawrence Weston). Please see our online calendar for up to date details.
