SERVICES & PRAYER
There are a range of services at St Andrew's and St Peter's throughout the month, please see below for the regular pattern.
Services at St Andrew's Church, Avonmouth
St Andrew's has been developing its services to have a more modern informal feel with a mixture of contemporary songs and older hymns. Refreshments are served from 9.45am, then the service starts at 10.15am. We also have refreshments afterwards. The usual pattern of services is:
1st Sunday Family Service with communion (with children & young people's group)
2nd Sunday Family Service (with children & young people's group)
3rd Sunday Family Service with communion (with children & young people's group)
4th Sunday Family Service (with children & young people's group)
5th Sunday Joint Service with St Peter's (with children & young people's group). After the service we have lunch together. Our joint service alternates between the two parishes. Please see our online calendar for up to date details. During half terms and some Sundays of the school holidays we have an all age family service on Sunday morning. It's interactive, lively and engaging for young and old alike!
Services at St Peter's Church, Lawrence Weston
St Peter's services generally have a more traditional feel with hymns and liturgy, except for our monthly All Age Service. Refreshments are available from 9.45am, then the service starts at 10.15am. We also have refreshments afterwards. Sadly, we are not currently able to offer a regular children's group at St Peter's on Sunday mornings, but we are working on it, following the appointment of our part time children's and youth Pastor, who works across Avonmouth & Lawrence Weston. Children are very welcome at our Sunday services and an activity will be available for them to do if they would like. The usual pattern of services at St Peter's is:
Ist Sunday Morning Service
2nd Sunday Holy Communion
3rd Sunday All Age Family Service
4th Sunday Holy Communion
5th Sunday Joint Service with St Andrew's (either in Avonmouth or Lawrence Weston. Please see our online calendar for up to date details.
Wednesdays Midweek communion service (9.30am). Refreshments served afterwards
If you would like someone to pray for you, there is an opportunity to receive personal prayer at the end of each service where a member of the team will listen to you and pray for any need you have.
Do get in touch if you've got any questions (contact form).
